Brought to you by the concoctor of rather boring titles…
More stuff!
¡Hola! ¿Còmo està(n)? Yo estoy muy [excited], porque:
I’m making myself a cloak! It will be patchwork wool in cozy warm colors, with an amazing fox-shaped pewter clasp me mum bought me, made from a Folkwear pattern, the Moroccan burnoose, I believe.
I’m going to cook some interesting little spinach pastries so that I don’t have to eat sandwiches every day. Sandwiches son aburrido.
School is almost out!!! Yes! Unfortunately, it doesn’t feel like summer here.
I am still recovering from the effects of being on stage. IT WAS AMAZING, AMAZING, AMAZING!!!! I LOVED IT, I LOVED IT!!!
I want to be a scientist, an actress, a writer, a sailor on tallships. I’ve given up hope of being an editor or teacher. I couldn’t bring myself to be brutally honest enough
Books I am reading:
Black Powder War, Naomi Novik

Stuff
Script Frenzy is finished and done. Hip, hip, hurrah! Hip, hip, hurrah! Hip, hip, hurrah! Unfortunately my fellow writers have not yet had their scripts posted. Or commented on mine. So.
I am writing a story based on my Screnzy; it’s already much better than the script ever was. Take my advice, O ye imaginary readers, and don’t try to write something of quality in such a short time.
I have a great deal of homework, and since no one actually reads this blog I may as well complain about it as much as I wish.
- Math homework, several sheets (Tuesday)
- Science presentation (Wednesday)
- Three-to-Six sentence autobiography (Wednesday)
- English project (Thursday)
- Three-page character bio (Friday)
- Lines (Next Monday)
- Chapter assignments (May 26)
Ugh.
The Diary of Anne Frank is extremely disappointing. I thought it would be horrifying and sad, but it’s just some girl’s diary. If I want to hear the complaints of a teenager, I could just read my own diary. If I kept one.
Mr Midshipman Hornblower, on the other hand, is very good.

Shakespeare, Hornblower, and Eugene Ionesco
I think I should change the name of my blog. Ships are all very well and good (actually they’re amazing), but the title is boring. It should have something to do with Shakespeare. I love Shakespeare. I’m seen Twelfth Night and A Midsummer Night’s Dream, and read Hamlet and Macbeth and Two Gentlemen of Verona and The Tempest. And while I’m on the topic of things I love, YouTube is extremely useful for locating the Horatio Hornblower miniseries if you don’t have a TV. The Hornblower movies are fun to watch. They’re very dramatically adventuresome, and they have ships. What better? And capes. And ridiculous hats. All hail the 1790s, era of ridiculous naval uniforms! Of course I don’t wear anything like. I have the cape, and nearly the shoes, but not the hat, which is even more ridiculous when they start wearing it sideways.
Today we started working our play (The Future is in Eggs, by Eugene Ionesco). Unfortunately, for the first three pages I have almost no blocking but must stand in a perfectly neutral position which is really uncomfortable and kind of hard to maintain.
Oh, but it groweth late. I must practice my diction and then to sleep.
I am currently reading:
Lord of the Flies
Anne Frank: Diary of a Young Girl
Macbeth
Word Myths
My health textbook

Day whenever
La Capitana* is bored. Expect a lot of posts when she’s bored and/or needs to go to bed and/or has been reading the blogs of her friends/acquaintances.
Script Frenzy was fun today. I wrote a scene in which I broke the fourth wall, and talked a lot to my characters, and then wiped their memories when I was done
Whee, fun.
Currently reading: The Book Thief; Word Myths.
*Is capitana even a word?

Day 1
Yes, it’s me, Captain Reaia, whom no one who might be reading this will know, unless, of course, you do know, in which case, I congratulate you.
And I have a blog.
Why? I have no idea. Maybe because I’m bored. Maybe because I want to take the kokonspiracy a step further (although how getting a blog will do that, I haven’t the faintest idea). I’m more inclined to believe the former. Perhaps because I want to know what it’s like to make a post in WordPress as opposed to a comment.
I still think it’s because I’m bored.
So yeah. There you have it. My first post.
How totally unremarkable.
